If you can breathe, you can do yoga! Yoga Therapy* focuses on your individual needs, and your innate ability to transform and enhance general health and well-being. We design yoga practices personalized for you, which incorporate breath, movement, and awareness.

How it works

Yoga Therapy is offered one-on-one, with carefully designed, personalized practices. In the Initial Session, we clarify your focus areas with a confidential wellness history, postural and gait analysis, and introductory practices. We consider what’s going on in your life at this time, and you will leave with recommendations for your personal yoga practice.

As our client, you will

  • Focus on stress relief, holistic healing, wellness, intentional life transitions, and conscious choices.
  • Experience the benefits of connection, feeling better,
    and shifting toward wellbeing.
  • Find a sound approach to mind body care, with a lifecycle focus on the whole self.

How it helps

For many, yoga helps with increasing vitality and energy; managing stress; relieving chronic pain; improving strength, balance, and flexibility; improving sleep; and benefitting productivity, focus, and attention.

Numerous research studies—such as those Rachel is involved with at the University of California—have verified the efficacy of yoga for improving quality of life and addressing conditions like anxiety, depression, lower back pain, cancer, MS, COPD, and arthritis among others.

* The Yoga Therapy components of my teaching are based on EYT Yoga Therapist Certification, other specialized training, and membership in the IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists), not derived from my status as an E-RYT500 with Yoga Alliance Registry.
