This morning’s practice:
msbr-style body scan, upon waking (left foot: very chatty)
walk around the hill (hello, hummingbirds!)
& a blessing…
May all that is unforgiven in you
May your fears yield
Their deepest tranquilities.
May all that is unlived in you
Blossom into a future
Graced with love.
~ John O’Donohue “To Come Home to Yourself,” in To Bless the Space Between Us
Releasing, forgiving, yielding fear into moments of trust and tranquility, connecting, feeling, clearing things out, and cleaning it up… I’m starting to remember that blossoms already are opening, once again growing into shocking pink from all that scrappy soil and low-to-the-ground prickly stuff — kind of like these succulent flowers at the end of my block. May we indeed blossom into love.
